How to convince my mom to let me get a horse?

Oh I am sick of these questions. Go and ask these things on an adult site, or better still learn some patience and then you will appreciate what you have and when you have! So many kids want everything on a plate - NOW!!!! I pitty your parents and others, but I guess they have made a rod for their own backs by letting kids think that they can have what they want. Then when they discover boys/girls they just leave the poor horses out in the field to fend for itself. And do not tell me that you know everything about horses and horse care, because you do not. Period.

I feel your pain!!! Show how responsible you are. Help around the house more than you need too. If you have any pets, take really good care of them, everyday. Take riding lessons, and volunteer at the barn to learn all you can about horses. read horse info books, too! Show that you know your stuff. It might take some time. I still don't have a horse, but that doesnt mean I'll never get one! But, remember, horses are super expensive, and be sure you really can afford one. If you know how to ride, have you considered leasing? Its much less expensive, and if you decide you don't want to, you can just stop, but it is kinda like having your own horse. Good Luck!

You may "understand the responsibility and dedication" but do you even no how to ride, or have all the money for one? Horses can cost up to $4,000+ PER year PER horses. Horses are living breathing creatures also, and require food, doctors of all sorts, love, water, etc. So don't even bother asking for one if you don't no a thing about them.. ~Bailey.

Horses are a big responsibility. You need somewhere to put them, food, water extc Try showing your mom you could take care of a horse. The only reason I have horses is because my family owns this really big farm. I have seven horses and it is hard to take care of them but you look like you really want one and if you think you can handle then show your mom you can.

How long have you been riding for and how experienced are you? Your mother can spend her money on what she wants without your assistance.

1 THING! don't give up!!!!! I feel it. i have wanted a horse of my own all my life! look on the internet, help out at a local stable. take lessons. uh, help your parents a lot. KEEP YOUR ROOM CLEAN! ask ask ask ask ask ask ask!!!!

do some chores! show you are responsible, say you will keep your bedroom tidy for however long and ask every day!!! they get bored!
