How to align the valves on my trumpet?
-
I messed up the valves and I cant make a sound. How do I re-align them? Do the numbers have to be even with eachother? Please no technical trumpet terms, Ive only been playing a day

Answer:
One tip for the future. Next time you oil the valves, only take out one at a time. By doing so, you won't mix up the valves again.

Oil the valves, and when you put the valve back in there are little plastic tabs that stick out that slide into the the corresponding valve hole. When the valves go in the numbers on the valve should be pointing toward the mouthpiece. Hope this helps!
