What does it mean when your eyes change color?

  • My eyes change color, from green, to blue, and sometimes it is a greenish brown color. What exactually does this mean?

  • Answer:

There are a few different reasons, but here are the most common ones: the amount of melanin (color chemicals) in your eyes fluctuating, or your eyes reflecting the colors around you. This happens to me too, but since my eyes are primarily gray it tends to be that my eyes are reflecting the color of my glasses frames or what I'm wearing. Since your eye land in the green/blue/hazel spectrum I'll guess your base color is green and the first option is most likely for you.

I don't think they actually change color. I think it's just the light reflecting on it, making it seem a different color. However, it could be changing colors. Either way it goes, it's nothing to worry about.

idk, It happens to me too, My mum says that it has to do with what color shirt I'm wearing most of the time, and sometimes it's because of my mood, idk what it means I have greenish brown eyes, Haze is what it is I think....

The amount of pigmentation in your eyes is increasing and increasing. Its not a bad thing though, mine do the same.
