How do i explain a long length of being unemployed on my resume?

    It depends on the job he is trying to get but you can try using the heading Special Needs Care Provider and highlight the best features of the employment. I don't believe you have to put that you are a convicted felon or have committed a misdemeanor on the resume but you should mention it since most employers will fire you if you do not mention that you were. Getting fired from previous jobs is also something you should and almost always have to mention verbally or on an application.

I recently completed a resume with the same problem,long periods of time without a paid position. I completed the resume and used the cover letter to explain the absence of years not listed in the resume. Also, one should not mention if they are a convicted felon. In most cases the question "Have you ever been convicted of a felon" is on the actual job application. If filling this out you MUST answer the question and be honest. Best of Luck!

you should probably put the conviction on there, cuz if you dont and they find out, then your gonna get in more trouble in the long run. so i think its probably best to be honest from the get go. i dont know about the other part, i'm kinda in the same position too
