What do most executive chef and line cooks make a year ?

    Executive Chefs are salaried. Line Cooks are paid by the hour. How much they earn varies. If your goal is to be an Executive Chef, you start as a line cook and move your way up. You gotta pay your dues. It took my Executive Chef 12 years to earn his title after he left culinary school.
