Is there a maximum age that you can become an EMT or paramedic?
-
I keep seeing a maximum age of 35, but I'm not sure. What if you worked for a private ambulance company?
-
Answer:
There are age limits set by different agencys such as a Fire Department or Police Department but private ambulance companys usually hire any reasonable age. I've seen a 64 year old EMT before. Of course EMT / Paramedic work is physically and mentally challanging so you want to be in tip top condition.
