Are Respiratory Therapists still in high demand?

Would Physical Therapists be in demand in the coming years?

  • I'm a first year college student, and i'm still thinking on what course should i shift to. please help me to decide. by the way, which do you prefer... P.T. or Nursing? thanks!

  • Answer:

PT can work at nursing homes, hospitals, private practices, in home care- almost anywhere a nurse work. Yes PTs have an advantage on hours though but both nursing and PTs will be in high demand in the future. Right now though, PTs are in extreme high demand and I have seen a lot of places offering sign on bonuses for them

Both careers are good. PT you would have much better hours, basically a 9-5 job, no week-ends, no holidays. A nurse has to cover 24 hours a day 7 days a week, holidays, week-ends, over nights, evenings and or days. A nurse you could work at a hospital, nursing home, clinic, home health, ect. PT only one place to work and I haven't seen a job in that field in a long time. Nursing I see jobs for all the time.
