What is the job market like for a LPN?

I a 35 year old guy and considering going to school for nursing. I would like feedback from some in the health care industry. What am I getting into?
Answer:

I have worked with some of the best LPN's. Unfortunately, now days they mostly work for physicians and nursing homes. I have never thought I being a RN was better than the person moping the floor. We are all human and have feelings just like our coworkers.

in all seriousness, lpn's are hated and considered unnecessary by many RN's. i don' t think it's a good job. Go for RN if you can.
