Is the medical coding and billing course hard?

I am thinking about taking a medical coding and billing course I just wanted to know if it is hard

The course itself is not hard. I had no medical background what so ever and I "got it". Like someone else said, getting a job is the hard part. Most places want you have t have experience in the medical field - AT LEAST two years experience. You can't automatically work from home either. Most places want you to have at least five years experience to do that. I got lucky in my job search. The place that hired me was so desperate for help that they were hiring people fresh off their exam with no experience!

It is not hard to study coding/billing, but the hard part is how to land a job in this field. They usually require experience and you will have to be certified. TT AHIMA CCS
