  • Answer:

I worked at Sears years ago (1995-1999) and I actually loved it. It was my part-time job while in high school. I did not work on commission. I worked in the Women/Ladies dept. I had friends who worked commission and from what I remember they never complained about not meeting their sales goals and I don't recall them fearing being fired. But like I said this was years ago, so I do not know if the company has changed any. I think you will be fine. What area will you be working? Basically with a store like Sears, most people who come in have all intentions of buying. Just be friendly, not too pushy, and informative. I'm sure you will do fine. Best of Luck!
