Is working in retail considered sales experience?
-
i have worked in retail and restaurants for years. does this count as sales experience when seeking a new career?
-
Answer:
yes as long as it was a customer facing role, for example i know people that work in supermarkets but they work in the back office so therefore it wouldnt necassary count as retail experience more clerical. but if you have interacted with clients or customers and had to directly take an order, serve a customer and cross sell than you are more than qualified in retail/sales
