Where to go camping around Houston?

I am new to the Houston, TX area and would like to do some camping with my family. I have a 4 and 2 year old and we are new to the camping scene. Where would be some good places to go?

Here are some sites near Houston http://www.citysearch.com/list/134241 Smithville is actually 2 hours from Houston but I've been there and it is the cutest quitest nicest little town. It's actually the site where they shot the movie Hope Floats with Sandra Bullock.
