How to upgrade a psp with official firmware to custom firmware?

  • recently my cousin ask me the following question which is mention above. pls help me!! provide clear instructions on how to do it.

    Open Battery cover. Look under battery for Datecode. The numbers are the year, the letters A to D are the year's quarter. Does the datecode show a code *younger* than 08B (i.e. 08C, 09A.)? If yes, give your cousin the PSP and tell him it can't be done (yet). If his PSP is older, get a PSP that already has a custom firmware, and create a pandora battery and magic memory stick. Google search for these words, and you will find hundreds of instructions on how to do that. Then insert the Magic Memory Stick in your cousins PSP and replace the battery with the pandora battery. Your cousin's PSP should automatically start. Depending on how you created the Magic Memory stick simply press the button you configured, or choose the correct menu entry to flash the console.

depends on what kind of psp it is, if it is a model 1000 it can be on cfw and most psp 2000 models can get it but if u have a psp 3000 like me ur out of luck for now.
