Release him out of the NFL GREATS Roster and he will be a free agent. Before you put Brett Farve on the Jets Roster, you have to Sent Chad Penningtion to the Miami Dolphins and then you can put Brett Farve on the Jets. Also you have to have a Internet Connetion to update the game before you do the following and the roster will be update until it changes. I hope that answers your question.
