How can I repair my msn messenger(unable to chat)?

I see my status as online but my friends' as offline on msn messenger and I am unable to chat with them.Meanwhile,I can see their statuses(away,busy,online etc) on web messenger ...show more

It's no setting it's a msn Error, it's common lately, you can try reinstalling but I think you will just have to contact them. - https://support.msn.com/Default.aspx?&st=1&wfxredirect=1 < contact support
