Check your cookie settings in the browser. ** Edit ** I am able to change the preference in both Firefox and IE as long as I can accept cookies from Google. When I disable/block cookies, I can not change the value. If not a cookie issue, check the directory where the cookies are stored and see if the permissions are set for you to be able to write to it.
