Possible changes in the chase. would Nascar nation like to see Nascar do away with the chase?
-
would Nascar nation like to Nascar go back to the way the championship use to be before the chase format came along?
-
Answer:
It doesn't matter how the championship is formatted as long as everyone knows the rules going into the race season. The rest is just purely competition. People can complain or they can get their act together in preparation for the competition. The drivers don't have too much to say about it, they just have to do their job, anything else is just tough shift : )

How boring would the last five races be if only the drivers who made the chase get to race. And since there are a lot of sponsors out there on other cars besides the top 12, those sponsorship dollars just got right down the crapper. NASCAR would lose too much money and seats wouldn't be filled... I don't know what can be done. On one hand I hate the chase...a driver works hard all season long and gets wins only to have it not matter when the chase comes and everyone gets a clean slate... On the other hand the chase does add some excitement to the last 10 races...you know they are racing for the championship but the others are racing for a win. If something ain't broke they shouldn't be fixing it...but thats NASCAR's way.

Im sorry but...what is wrong with the chase now? More fans, more viewers, mo money... thats why sooooooo many fans STOPED watchin the races because of "all" the changes.(C.O.T car, the wing, no wing, spoiler) , new face lift...lol "If it aint broke...Dont fix it" Diapointed fan Fluffy sounds like poor "Neuterd" Smoke...

I'd like to see it dumped, we never needed it back in the day, and its not needed today, I just do not need all the hype, and media crap, and $$$$ thats what its really about. The driver with the most points wins at the end of the season. Nascar is not a stick and ball sport, no play off style chase needed for me. Go Dale Jr..Bring it on in 2010
Go Team Penske
no, the chase is the best thing to happen to NASCAR in my lifetime

I like the idea of the chase, but DW had a good idea the other day...he suggested that the chase be 5 races long, and only drivers who qualify for the chase get to race. So the regular season would last 31 races, and the last 5 races would be a shoot out with only the chase drivers.

I'd be happy to see the chase killed off. Most of the older fans would be too, I think.....

I think a restructure of the points with more emphasis on wins. The idea of the chase is good, how it's carried out needs some work.

Yes. I would love to see the Chase go away and bring back the old-school points system!
