Free single player PC games?

RE:Should I buy Crysis and Metro games for my PS3, Xbox 360 or build a gaming PC just for good graphics?I want them for Single Player only?

  Each and every game on the consoles is (with an exception I am sure) actually designed to run smoothly on the consoles. The way the companies do this is by sacrificing the graphics quality though, If you have the money, as it would seem, and you do not care for online gaming, I would build a good pc. they can deliver (quite literally) over twice the graphics quality of top end gaming systems (yes even compared to the newest Xbox and PS). To answer your question broadly, You can run them all smoothly and get an excellent gaming experience on the consoles (I find the graphics quite fine on the newer consoles personally), but a PC will allow you simply an even better single player experience because of its'ability to be customized. You can even use an Xbox controller on the PC if you wish. Having said that, I know you said single player, but if you ever change your mind, the consoles gaming communities are Significantly larger then the PC gaming community (for these types of games).
