I dont know what do to for my science fair! I am in 4th grade!!! IDEAS PLEASE!!!?

  This is a really easy acid-base experiment that looks neat. You need: 1 medium sized red cabbage Water Strainer Big kettle to cook the cabbage in Stuff to test to see if it is an acid or base. Liquids work best, but you can dissolve powder in a little bit of water. You could use lemon juice, vinegar, pickle juice, clear soda (like 7-Up), some baking soda dissolved in water...be creative! Get a medium sized red cabbage. Chop it fairly small and boil it until the water you're boiling it in turns pink. Let it cool so you don't burn yourself. Then strain the cabbage out and KEEP the liquid. Put about 1/4 cup of the cabbage-water in several different clear glass containers. Disposable plastic party glasses work okay, but they MUST be clear. Add a few drops of each of the things you're testing to each cup. One cup gets a the lemon juice, one gets the vinegar...you get the idea. Watch and see how the color of the cabbage juice changes!
