How do you make your website more searchable on google or yahoo?

    Are you part of a forum group or email list? Do you have networking contacts? Those would be great areas to send your link to for people to view. Also, you may want to target your content with specific keywords that are popular through search engines so that your site can be picked up better. It wouldn't hurt to submit your site to all the social media outlets as well - facebook, twitter, digg, reddit, etc. I am always trying to market sites I am part of as well. Is it a genuine website. I mean there are kids so desperate to see their name on the Internet that they get a free sub domain, put up one page of text and pictures and call it a website and wonder why it isn't popular.
