Okay, I am home educated, have been since I was 9, and you can tell your dad he doesn't need to worry about the socialization "problem" too many people think exists for home educated children, it does not exist. Home educated children have far more socialization than state educated children, forge far strong bonds with friends, and don't constantly feel like they have to compete with each other and sucumb to peer pressure the way state educated children do. If your dad is still not convinced find a local home school group and go along to some of their activities or group meetings and get him to meet some home educated children. If worst comes to worst and you can't get him to change his mind, even after explaining how you feel you could do so much better and study so much faster if you were in an environment that didn't slow you down just so you didn't make the 'not-so-smart kids' feel bad, do you need his consent to be home educated? If you live with your mum, and she will be overseeing your study do you need to have your dads permission?

If your mom has primary custody, she should be able to enroll you. Not being socialized is a myth. Ask your dad what is more important for your future: a good education, or being social with people you likely won't see after you graduate? Tell him for you, it's grades. Plus homeschool kids get involved in group activities, lessons, community events. They aren't just stuck in the house all day. You probably can even see your friends after their done with school.

Tell your dad you plan to leave the house and it's a myth that homeschooled kids are unsocialized. Look into a couple of activities you want to get involved in to prove there are other ways to socialize. Ulitimately it's up to your parents; you can only state your case and ask them to look into it.
