How do I fix my XBOX 360 3 red light problem?

Xbox 360 one red light problem fix...does this work(read the details for the actual solution)?

  I have the exact same problem, and no i wouldn't say that its your AV cable, it many say this but like me my error was E74, and what im thinking is that a bit of solder has melted on the graphics card and damaged the graphics card, seeing as this is to do with the AV cable but not the actual AV cable its self it still classifies it as a AV cable. One thing i would suggest is to have a friend come over and bring his AV cable and see if it makes a difference, most likely not thought. One last thing, if you noticed a significant change is graphical game play like screen going red and getting black dots in most places when playing a game, then yes its most likely to do with your Graphics card and will therefore need sending into microsoft for repair, and if you have had your xbox 360 for over 1 year then you re screwed because the 3 year extended warranty doesn't cover 1 Red ring, only 3, so you'll have to pay around £50-£60 to get it repaired, not to mention the 1 week wait for the box to send it off in to come, 1 week for it to get there, 2 weeks to fix it and 1 week to return, so you're looking at around 5 weeks in the total process. Don't worry though on average it takes 3 weeks total, but ive known friends total time to be anything from 1-2months. Unlucky about your xbox and good luck in the whole process, hope this helped. Edit* You might want to try leaving your xbox on in a confined space to get it to 3 Red rings, but this is up to you. If you do this then they should accept it for free repair for 3 Red rings. But i really don't know if they can tell what happened first or weather you caused it ect, so please only try this if you have no other option.
