When you graduate, they don't just throw you out the door and tell you to go fix airplanes. IF you do manage to complete the course, and then the oral, written and practical exams, you will be eligible to receive an A&P mechanic certificate. That allows you to go looking for an entry level job in the industry, and IF someone is willing to hire you, then you will be given several weeks more training on a specific type of aircraft and you will be supervised quite closely for the first few months in your new position.
