Who do you watch boxing with?

many times by myself..... i usually find other people who don't know the history of the sport to be quite ANNOYING when i want to watch a fight. they usually talk alot and ask a lot of STUPID QUESTIONS.....like chicks used to when watching football, before the NFL started marketing to them and making players wear PINK JOCK STRAPs and sh!t i used to watch with my Dad when i was a kid....its one of the only good memories i have about my old man. my first live TV fight EVER was Mike Tyson vs Tony Tubbs. i was 6 at the time. we watched all the Tyson, Holyfield, Foreman, Chavez and Camacho fights during the late 80s and early 90s. by the time i was 16, i was a regular suscriber to Ring Magazine but i don't care for large get togethers when fights. it makes them hard to enjoy. Manny Packeow fights are THE WORST, because he attracts some of the DUMBEST people on the plante I got 3 homeboys in particular. it is rare that all 4 of us get together, but its happened before. but i usually get together with one at a time to watch the fights. they know the sport, they don't make dumb comments.....they like the 4 dudes in the barber shop in Coming To America i get annoyed when people talk through the National Anthem too. it REALLY pisses me off. even if its someone else's national anthem. i had a couple boys over for Mayweather vs Cotto..one dude was rocking his PUERTA RICAN flag shirt. he got real quiet when they sang his national anthem. i shut up too, to show RESPECT, but this other white dude just kept yacking away and being totally DISRESPECTFUL,.... when Mayweather fought Hatton, i got into it with one of the other guests at my hommie's house cause he disrespected the UNITED STATES FLAG during the anthem. he shut up REAL FAST when i stood up and told him he was MAKING ME MAD....

Mostly just my brother. Like EWWD said, it's the most fun to drink a little bit and watch with him, b/c he knows just as much as me, and is an actual fan of the sport. If I'm watching w/ someone else, they're either asking too many questions (and I can't pay good attention) or they're not very into it. Both of those annoy me, but at least if they're not into the fight they usually aren't bothering me either...

Over time the answer to the question has changed. As a kid in the 70s, I would watch ABC Wide World of Sports with my dad, my uncle, my brother and several cousins. In the 80s, I began watching by myself, until the rise of Tyson and PPV. I them started watching PPV fights at people's house (chipping in on the cost of course). In the 90's I was in college and couldnt follow the sport as I wanted to until after the 96 Olympics. When I returned to NY, my friends and I would get together for any fight (about 5 of us) and order pizza and wings for any HBO fight. My friends and I all started families and that changes everything. Today, I mostly watch fights alone. If I order a big time PPV I have about 10 friends who come and chip in. My dad (a retired chef) makes a spread and we make it a party. There are usually 3 or 4 wives and girlfriends in the bunch. When I go to live bouts my wife goes with me, although she could really care less about boxing, she enjoys my company and my happiness at fights.

My fiancee is from the Philippines so we often watch Pacquiao fights over her house or at a sports bar. Non Pacquiao fights, i often watch alone, or with a friend of mine who is a former golden gloves fighter.

My lady has came with me to all the fights I have been to. Since she is pretty much my bff she watches w me alot. Even acts interested and engages in boxing convos. other than that, normally i have 2 or 3 buddies that come over since i get all the ppv events. One is suckafree (from my training video), the other is a musician, and the other guy is into "sales"(ill leave it at that) But most of the time for like fnf, or shobox im watching it solo. I know what ewwd means about talking though the anthem, i dont play that sh** either, FACT!

I end up watching it on my own alot.I sometimes try to get my brothers to watch it with me but their just not as passionate about it as i am so i end up chewing their ear holes off.I'm the same, as soon as the boxing starts the ice cold guinness comes out.It doesn't get better than that
