Why are a lot of people more allergic to short-haired cats than they are to long-haired ones ?
-
I know there are more people allergic to long-haired cats but how could a short-haired cat be more allergic to some ?
-
Answer:
I don't know. I had two long haired cats, no problem. Can't be near a short haired. Someone told me it has to do with the dander.

Long-haired cats have more fur. And because their fur is so long and thick, dander is harder to get rid of. Not that that really means a whole lot: I've seen some short-haired cats that could shed enough to make a new blanket from!

You are not allergic to the hair. No matter how short or long it is. You are allergic to the Dander on the skin under the hair...
