  • Im Australia and i have a degree of nautical science and am either going to be an officer on a cargo/cruise ship or a tug boat so what are the benefits of being a cargo/cruise ship ...show more

  • Answer:

Three part answer, best first Cargo ship, you get to go around the world seeing new places and generally working hard but having a good time. Tug boat, you stay at home get home every night or when ever your shift is over. If thats your thing all well and good. Cruise ship, regular run to interesting ports. cargo, passengers, is the only cargo that can talk back to you and it is an absolute pain in the butt, Keep smiling all the time, no matter what the old biddy wants. Thats it in a nutshell. I have to say that being on a passenger ship was the hardest work I have ever done.
