    hot pink background w/ medium brown big dots and a few yellow dots should bring a great vintage mood to ur room if u prefer a more modern look than a vintage one, try black, dark gray & hot pink

Ugh... I didn't think you where going to want all pink! =D But aside from that, I think these color combinations would look nice... Red+Blue+Grey Orange+White Black+White+Silver I think the pink w/ orange polka dots would look nice but I would also consider white w/ orange and pink polka dots! Personally though, my three favorite colors are Black, White and Red. =)

The colors look good together are yellow and orange just or just try blue and yellow and my 3 favorite color are blue,pink, and red.

i'd go for the second one with the orange. but maybe orange and red polka dots instead of hot pink and bright orange.

Your first suggestion, different hues of pink, would be a more subltle look than adding the contrasting and in your face, orange. Although that would really by bright and cheery and not so girly. Both would be "fun" walls though!
