Which hotels shall we stay at Beijing which are within walking distance to mrt/subway station and food outlets

My boyfriend and I went to Beijing in May and we stayed at the Wangfujing Grand Hotel. It was beautiful and the staff was incredibly helpful. It is a little pricier than most, but it is worth it. You can walk to the Forbidden City and the bus station that will take you to the Great Wall. They spoke moderate English, but be sure to get a dictionary with the english word written next to the Chinese one. This make communication a little easier. Be careful, as many have stated, but most of all, have fun and try to Peking Duck!

Ren min hotel,it is a four star hotel and near the center of BJ. go to some markets to buy the silk and some small gifts,but do remember to bargin with them,ha in Oct,it's the fall,but u dont need to wear a lot,neither too hot nor too cold there

october will be a brilliant time to be in beijing! i would recommed either 1. the Comfort Inn in Sanlitun (it's actually a very nice, stylish four star -- the lobby and exterior are nothing to look at but the rooms are great, and you are in walking distance of all kinds of food and entertainment), or -- 2. the Park Plaza, a new four star, adjacent to the Regent, a new five star. the Park Plaza is a terrific value, should be way more expensive than it is -- it is in the heart of Wang Fu Jing, walking distance to the Forbidden City, near tons of shops and restaurants, and walking distance to the subway. (the GM at the Park and Regent used to manage the St Regis, a six star hotel, and so the staff are quite professional.)

the weather is alright..not too hot and not too cold i suggest you to look online...or flip through some china travel magazines..for the hotels...or go on net
