How to get from cdg to Paris city centre?

CDG- City centre Paris.Train Service and price?

  • How can one travel from CDG to City centre Paris? please help

  • Answer:

Rillifane is right - you just hop on the RER at the airport. Make sure you go to the ticket office to buy your ticket - don't waste your time standing in line to buy tickets at any of the kiosks because if your credit/debit card doesn't have the right chip in it, the kiosk won't recognize it. Remember that once you're in Paris, you can transfer from the RER to the Metro for free as long as you don't leave the station. Gare du Nord, Chatelet, and Denfert Rochereau each have several Metro lines that stop there, so you should be able to get to your final destination easily. So, for instance, you might want to go from the airport to Pere Lachaise cemetery or something in the vicinity. You would buy your transportation ticket at the airport. Take RER B to Gare du Nord, then transfer to Metro ligne 5 direction Place d'Italie. At Republique, you would transfer to Metro ligne 7 direction Gallieni and get off at Pere Lachaise. It's very easy.

Good luck for your trip in CDG airport, it's the worst airport of France...I hope you won't be lost, it's so huge and the signs are not easy to understand (even if you read french...)
