Can I use speaker wire with RCA connectors to carry audio?

    I doubt RCA would effect the quality of your system. RCA is usually used in pre-amp - amp connectors on AVR's Banana plugs are used between a receiver and speaker.

You can for line or low power speakers. You should not use speaker wire to carry line level audio, nor use RCA plugs on high power speakers and amps.

They will work ok for a lower powered system - they really were designed to carry line level audio not speaker level audio. For home use, your best bet is to just use regular bare speaker wire with no connectors. Nigel - RCA connectors should work fine for that system.
