How can I watch TV Channel online?

I've setup my Sony TV (26S2030) linked it to a DVD recorder. How can I watch 1 channel and record another?

  • When I record via the EPG if I try to watch a different channel it asks me if I want to stop recording - How can I switch to another channel while recording the first one?

    Maybe if you bought an Aeriel booster, put lead from aerial into the 'in' socket. and put one lead to dvd rec and other to tv. It may just work, but without trying it I couldn't be sure. You would need a booster with at least two outlets. good luck. ps: You may have to remove scart lead from tv while recording, if watching another channel.

It sounds like you've only got one digital tuner in your set-up (either in the TV or in the DVD recorder). To be able to watch one digital channel while you record another you MUST have two digital tuners. You could buy a cheap Freeview digital set-top box to boost your number of digital tuners to two and connect it to the piece of equipment that is lacking one. Hooking it all up could get a little messy but, without buying a twin tuner recorder such as the Humax PVR, this would seem to be the only solution.
