Possible to make my HP CP1215 print black and white without color?

    its simple remove the colour cartridge and print, the printer will recognise it and it will print in black. me too using the same technique.

I am not sure about your printer exactly, but on my HP 6940, with the document I want to print open, click on "File" then "Print", select your printer and click on "Properties", then click on the "Color" tab. Click in the "Color Options" field, and select the radio button next to "Gray Scale", then click the radio button next to "Black Print Cartridge Only". Click "apply" and it should printer just as you want. You will still need the color cartridges install in the printer though they can be empty.
