Why does my printer light keep blinking?

My compaq printer will not print. Both the power and paper feed light are flashing, what's wrong?

well check to see you you don't have a paper stuck in the printer.. also.. you might be out of ink or the ink cartrage is on in right

You haven't said what MODEL of printer it is, so I'm guessing at a solution. Those two light I would guess indicate either a paper jam error (something in apper path causing a sensor to stick) or the head containing the ink carts has jammed. Try editing question with MORE DETAILS plesae
