    I am a professional cameraman and hire camcorders frequently for work. The person who says you cannot rent them because they are cheap to buy is completely incorrect, the cameras I use can cost $100,000 to buy so you do rent them because they are so expensive to buy. Also being HD does not mean that its good quality, you can buy a cheap HD camcorder that's terrible compared to a decent SD camcorder like a digibeta. If you give me an idea of your budget and which country you are in (I am in the UK) then I could help further but there are plenty of places you can hire professional video equipment. Why don't you rent a canon 5D its cheap and perfect for making a pop video (its a stills cameras that records video) I have used them plenty in the past year to great affect, good luck
