Why does the music player in iPod touch (iOS 6.1.3) does not contain a simple equalizer?
-
Shouldn't the music app be optimized for iPod?
-
Answer:
Actually, there is a simple equalizer built into iOS, however it's hidden away under Music in the Settings app, rather than being accessible from the actual Music playback screen. There are 22 presets available in here. Note that if you're syncing from iTunes, you can also set equalizer presets for specific tracks, which will override any EQ setting chosen here, provided the EQ is actually enabled -- OFF disables any equalizer settings, even those set on a per-track basis; you should use the Flat setting instead if you only want per-track EQs applied.
