Answer:
If the messing up can be shown without music, then just remove all the music from the iPod. Chances are if they are able to fix it they will just replace it, so you will loose all your music anyway. Or if you are really concerned goto Starbucks, get a few "free song" cards for itunes and download a few tracks for FREE. Put just those on your ipod and see if that solves the problem. The issues maybe caused by bad music files also!! Hope this help

No there is no real way for them to find out about your illegal Limewire use for looking at your Ipod. However the standard warranty is only a year, after which they will do little more than fix small problems or show you how to use your Ipod. What problems are you experienceing with your Ipod? Maybe someone here could help.

No apple does not care about the source but you better back up your software.. if they try to fix ur ipod then all data might be lost... you can google for sharepod and it will help you backup your songs

The iPod doesn't show where the source of your music is. It could just be copied from CD's. The only way they are able to tell is if they find it on your computer. I have downloads from Limewire and there is no difference in the way that they appear then if it were copied from a CD.

I don't really think they can tell if it is, only if they check your computer and look up the info on your files. Even if they can tell, you'll probably get some young kid working the counter and he won't care much. And even if you do get an experienced person, they probably won't care either.Don't worry about it. Go ahead.

If you deleted all the songs then you could bring it back to the Apple Store, but if you can't or don't then I wouldn't bring it in becasue you could get arrested for the music becasue its "ripping the artists off of money" of whatever they want to make an excuse for. They reason that it is messing up is probably becasue you are using those free music sites. Limewire messed up my friends I-pod so it doesn't even work. So if I were you I would try to delete the songs and then bring it to the Apple Store.
