Help, why does my DVD play the sound on video 1 and show the picture on video 3?

Your audio and video cables are not in the proper input jacks. Go behind your TV and make sure that the audio and video cables for your DVD player are both plugged into Video 1.

You obviously have the audio connected to the wrong input. If you can't tell which is the correct one just keep trying a different one until you find it.
