Why won't my Yahoo messenger open up?

Why wont my damn yahoo messenger open i downloaded it three times already ****?

    The only solution I have found, is a link i saw from a another member . Try going to http://www.oldversion.com and download an older version of Yahoo messenger. I downloaded 8 and the problem still existed, but version 7 so far is working just fine. I hope it works until Yahoo finally solves the problem. But first make sure u do this: Go to the control panel, then add remove, then remove your Yahoo messenger. Check t see if Yahoo toolbar is there and remove it also. But wait, there is more to do. If you go to the C: drive in "my computer" and go to the PROGRAM FILES folder, you will see the YAHOO folder. Inside there is a Messenger folder that still has two or even five files that are not removed. You may have to reboot your computer and hit the F8 key to go to Safe Mode, then go back to the yahoo folder in safe mode and Delete the folder entirely to get rid of those files. Now install the messenger Version 7 and you should be fine for now. It is less bloated with all the junk that the newer versions have. I wish Yahoo would come out with a Yahoo express that has only the basic messaging, webcam and phone for people who just simply want to contact their love ones. Good Luck
