How can i get sponsored for bmx?

The first thing you have to do is practice, practice, practice. Get out and ride every single day, rain or shine. Talk to your parents, and make sure they know how serious you are about this. You won't be able to do it without their help. Get at least one good quality video camera and video editing software. If you can, get two cameras. Have friends or family videotape your riding and tricks. Use tripods whenever possible. Your goal here is to be able to put out professional looking video of your riding. You not only have to make sure you ride well, but you have to make sure that the presentation of your riding is fantastic. Another possibility is to see if your local college has a video production department. If so, you and your parents should contact the professor. He or she very well may have students that would be willing to film and produce a video for you so they can get credit in their classes, or for the experience. Enter every single competition you can find, and make sure you do well in all of them. Have friends or family record your performances in all of them. Market yourself extensively. Give DVDs of your videos to every bmx shop in a wide radius. Go to bmx events where big name riders are going to be, and make sure your DVD gets in the hands of every single one of them. Lots of them won't bother to watch it, but some might. Get your videos on youtube and other video sites. Use sites like twitter and facebook to promote them. Send links to major and minor bmx sponsors, and mail them DVDs as well. There are two main things you need to successfully get sponsored, talent and exposure. The two go hand in hand. If you are good enough, but no one ever notices you, you won't get sponsored. If you aren't good enough, but you get noticed and seen a lot, you still won't get sponsored. However, if you ARE good enough, and you make sure that you get noticed, you MIGHT get sponsored. Good luck!
