  I had the same thought as Lucky- vaporlock. Although I've never had this problem with my 01 Cherokee, I did with my 96 S-10. I began having problems of the truck stalling. It seemed to primarily happen right after I took off from a stopped redlight, but could also happen at other times. I had finally come to realize that it only happened on really hot days, and when the gas tank was less than 1/2 full. To confirm the problem I got a fuel system pressure gauge and hooked up to fuel rail under the hood, routed the gauge out to the windshield, tie-wrapped to the windshield wiper such that I could see it, and then drove. It was obvious that the fuel pressure decreased suddenly and severely from normal as the truck stalled. Although I never discovered for sure, I believe the problem was a dirty sock (screen) over the intake to the fuel pump. I was ready for a newer vehicle anyway and that was sort of the last straw and I sold it. Of course, your problem could be something else. It's certainly a problem with fuel or spark and there's more issues that could go wrong in the ignition (spark) system. Could be the ignition coil (my 01 has a COP system but I THINK your 95 probably has a single coil going to distributor). It sounds like something that's affecting ALL cylinders at same time for engine to just shut-off with no warning, otherwise it would stutter and miss but still run. That's my 2 cents...
