Ford KA indicator switch constantly ticking. MOT question?

The ticking is almost certainly the relay. If you disconnect it, the indicators will not work. If the indicators work as they should, then it will pass the MoT.

Can't help thinking £250 is a bit steep to fix the indicator, I'd be taking it elsewhere. I'd also have a go at changing the indicator relay to see if that cures it. (available from a Ford dealer) The location of the relay will be shown in the owners manual, it's a user changeable part, just plugs in. As for the MOT, if the indicators work properly it'll be fine, although if the tester hears the noise he'll probably list it as an advisory, but so long as they work OK they'll pass.

I have a KA Either your indicator bulb has blown.That makes the indicator light on your dash flash faster. Have you looked to see if the lights on the car are working? If not of course its a MOT fail. Otherwise you will have to swallow hard and pay up.It was false economy having to pay the other £40 anyway. I would ask elsewere other you have to have it done,but check your indicator bulbs all round.It would be a laugh if one of them had blown!
