  The weather in Ireland is best during the summer! So I would recommend looking for an outdoorsy, cultural summer program. Ireland has some great surfing on the west coast. You will be treated just like any other person as long as you are open and respectful to the fact that you are in Ireland and that is their country. The people in Ireland are very spunky and personable! At least that is how I felt when I went to Ireland. They are proud of their culture- just be respectful of their history and maybe know a few things before going. Many organizations have scholarships/financial aid. I would recommend starting a blog about your desire to study abroad and send it to all of your family, friends, community members, etc. Then attach a widget that allows for donations. This is a great way to get the word out. Also, if you play an instrument or have a unique talent, you could put on shows in your community for donations. Many summer programs stay in a group the entire program; this will be great for making friends! Also, I found the Irish to be very open and friendly if you express interest in them and their culture. The Irish use the Euro, the exchange rate right now is 1.38 dollars to 1 Euro. That means for every Euro you spend, you will be spending 1 dollar and 38 cents. Best of luck!
