How can you tell if a college scholarship is legitimate?

Can anybody tell me or give me advise on how to get a scholarship for college? I have a crappy school counsler?

I'll be a Junior in high school. Im in a few activities in school and I want to be a pharmacist in college and hope to get my masters =]
