Whats the difference between diploma and post graduate diploma?

  • I want to know the difference between diploma and post graduate diploma

  • Answer:

it depends on the place where issued. in different countries diploma is either: 1.high school (graduation) diploma <no college>, or 2. diploma (associates) <two years of college>. in some countries, you must have a bachelor <4 years of college> before you get a post graduate diploma (masters), since it is a masters degree <6 years of college>. it all depends on how they view those names for degrees.

Postgraduate diploma is awarded to only those who are degree hoders graduate diplomas are awarded to undergraduates

One is an undergrad (3-4) years and the other is graduate or masters degree which specializes more in a field (2 more years on top of undergrad) Example, someone could have an engineering degree and than go on for a MBA or a masters in business administration so he can work in management in an engineering firm.
