You know for a twelve year old I would think go karts or paint ball or something like that. I have to agree with the rest of your answers - Chuck E. Cheese is just to young for him. You could even have a beach party - if you have a beach that allows campfires, you could do hot dogs, food stuffs like that and the kids could enjoy swimming.
