What subwoofers should I put in a single cab truck?

Is it true in a extended cab truck it sounds better to put your 12in subwoofers facing towards the ceiling?

i have two 12in pioneer premiers and a 1000 pioneer amp and i drive a nissan frontier thats y im wondering
