What is the difference between a 2ohm sub and a 4 ohm sub?

Can i wire my 2 ohm stable mono amp at 2ohms to either 1x 2ohm dvc or OR 1x 4ohm dvc sub???

    1 4ohm dvc wire the woofer from one voice coil neg to pos and then thr other neg and pos to amp wamo you got 2ohm dvc woofer the 2 ohm dvc wire it neg to neg and pos to pos to retain the too ohm rating and wire them to mono amp as neg and pos as a pair

If you use the 1- 2ohm dvc, you will either have to wire it up at 1 ohm parallel or 4 ohm series. Now if you use the 4 ohm dvc, you can wire both coils in parallel and that will give you the 2 ohms your looking for. You will need the 4 ohm sub. You need to connect all positves together and all negatives together. this will give you the 2 ohm load.
