What is the difference between a 2ohm sub and a 4 ohm sub?

Can i wire my 2 ohm stable mono amp at 2ohms to either 1x 2ohm dvc or OR 1x 4ohm dvc sub???

• can i do either,, need to know this cuz i wana run my amp at 2 ohms to power 1 sub, just checking if i can do dat with either 2 or 4 ohm dvc subs if so how cheers

  1 4ohm dvc wire the woofer from one voice coil neg to pos and then thr other neg and pos to amp wamo you got 2ohm dvc woofer the 2 ohm dvc wire it neg to neg and pos to pos to retain the too ohm rating and wire them to mono amp as neg and pos as a pair
