Is Honda dazzler a good bike to have?

Which is best bike among Honda CB , Honda Unicorn ,Dazzler & Honda CB Trigger? If mileage, cost on road & other factors are undertaken?

  • Answer:

The Honda CB Trigger is a replacement to the erstwhile Unicorn Dazzler here in the Indian market. Having failed to get a respectable share of the market, Honda looked towards the Yamaha FZ line and modeled their own Trigger based on the FZ's USPs. The Trigger's basic version costs around 80 grand on road. For that you get a 150cc carb engine producing 14 PS max power and 12.5 Nm max torque. Mileage is a respectable 50-60 kmpl, however you ride it. Service and maintenance are trouble free, with plenty of spares and parts sharing across the Honda range. Ride is comfortable and a bit more laid back than the FZ. Handling is where the Trigger loses out to the FZ, it is just not intuitive enough. The Unicorn basically is the same bike but with a different role. It has the same 150cc engine, but detuned to produce 13.5 PS, in keeping with its positioning as a commuter. It loses out on the monoshock and the fat tyres, and instead gets dual gas charged shocks and slim, mileage oriented tyres. You get about 65-70 km to a liter of petrol, making the Unicorn a seriously frugal machine. Best bike? Depends upon what you are looking for. If you want performance, have the Trigger. If you want to go longer on less money, take the one horned horse.
