if you really want to get to Alexandra Palace, you get off the tube at Finsbury Park, go to the Wells Terrace bus station just outside and catch a W3 bus ... it drops you right outside and you avoid the long hike up the hill from the overground station

Alexandra Palace has been abandoned for more than 65 years. The theatre was opened in 1875. It rivals in size the Drury Lane Theatre, with a capacity of around 2,000.
