    when i was about 16 , my family went on the norwegian dawn. there was a room for teens to hang out in , and i met a bunch of cool people there. we didn't have to stay in the room and do lame activities , we met there and did whatever we want. however , i believe there was a person there sometimes , who would ask if there were any fun activities we could think of that we wanted them to plan for us. we had karaoke on the last night

I'm not too sure whether or not these ships go out of california, but if you are looking for a fun "teen" cruise, I would say that you need to go on Royal Caribbean Cruise Line. The older ships are nice and fun, but why not go out all and meet a ton of other new teens on the newer ships like Freedom, Liberty, Oasis, and Allure. I've been on the Freedom and there were TONS of people my age which was 16 when I went! You cannot go wrong with these ships, trust me!! good luck in your decision
